I have had CDiff watery diarrhea since beginning of March. I have had one series of Vancomycin…..then a month later I did a series of a Dificid. I still have watery/explosive diarrhea. I am getting weaker. I am 69 and have not been hospitalized or taken any antibiotics except for in my eye for Cataract surgery.

I'm so used to it that I sleep 2 hours and get up pee in container next to my bed and go quickly to bed. This has been going on for over 2 years straight. It started out of the blue and hasn't relented one night....though I did go 4 hours back when it was still cold out on night. It really only affects me when I keep waking in morning repeatedly....and lately I've been waking w heart racing in the second half of the night like after 2am which scares me but makes me think that it's most likely sleep apnea. I certainly doubt I have early signs of a heart problem though it could be both. I workout and am fairly fit for 48 so I doubt it's anymoere than sleep apnea. Any suggestions? I started taping my mouth w a piece of medical tape just partially blocking my mouth and this seems to help. Sleep Apnea is caused mostly by lower jaw sliding forward which casues your throat muscle to obstruct as it relaxes.

Well, I wanna get a fecal transplant so I could enjoy the smell of the donor's poop.

My sister and I have VP. Our mother died from complications after receiving the wrong aesthetic during an operation which triggered a severe acute attack leading to paralysis and death at a young age. I was a one year old. We developed severe symptoms and I have had severe acute spells. Twice it was triggered by illness (which aparantly triggered an imbalance in my blood). Once tonsils and once severe flu triggered severe acute attacks where I was hospitalized. The nausea during these spells was so severe that I basically just spent a couple of days vomiting with abdominal pain. Morphine did not ease the pain. Drs don't always know what they dealing with and when I had severe flu I suffered sensations of paralysis which they ascribed to severe flu symptoms. When I took my sons for testing years later, Prof Hyft at Groote Schuur Hospital who specialized in this (South Africa) advised I had experienced severe acute symptoms which is life threatening. He informed I can approach them for Hyme should it ever happen again as the treatment is effective. I cannot recall how many times I went to a GP with acute symptoms, only to be told they find nothing wrong. Its a horrible illness as normal illnesses get diagnosed and treated, but with VP one just has to suffer the symptoms sometimes for weeks or even months. I live a normal life and have worked many normal days with the severest of pain and extreme nausea. It causes my skin to feel like needles and pins. This condition affects one's entire being as it causes a general feeling of unwellness. Do not use alcohol and know the list of medications VP patients cannot use. Always tell drs and medical staff of your condition as it will guide them on what medication you may not use. Some meds will state on the leaflet "not safe for porphyria.

I broke my left hip right where my implant from an older hip replacement and I’m 69. No surgical repair it healed on its own. 3 weeks in rehab and sent home

Starting Tremfya today, after several years on Humira and MTX. My psoriasis went away on Humira and MTX. However my PsA not only impacts my fingers and ankles, but my thoracic spine is the most irritated and when inflamed radiates around to the joints at my sternum and it is painful. Between Walgreens and osco in cook county Chicago I almost died. Two days in a row i was turned away by pharmacists with a minimum of concern and a "Sorry we can't transfer/fill your medication because our systems are down." In all my 45 years I have NEVER been refused my medication.

I have pneumococcal pneumonia! Right now I feel like crap rn! Been on antibiotics for a couple days. Talk to your primary care physician about that vaccine 😪

I am dealing with advanced squamous cell carcinoma in the scalp which was diagnosed late. By the time I completed treatment, it started to spread to lymph nodes in my neck. I also had a couple spots on my chest which were successfully treated. The oncologist were completely caught off-guard by how quickly the cancer spread from the scalp to the neck lymph nodes, but also how fast it blew up the lymph nodes in my neck. At this point, the lymph nodes are in operable due to size and already having a reoccurrence in the scalp. I am only being treated with immunotherapy (Libtayo), getting some results in the lesions in the scalp, but the lymph nodes are not responding. One of the lymph nodes is the size of a golf ball and has burst so it is always leaking lymph fluid. Hoping the oncologist will add chemo or radiation, not excited about either, but my prognosis isn't looking at this point. Just a warning for anyone with CSCC, it treatments don't slow the progression of this disease, there's not a lot of options out there.

My husband is on his second shot and this drug is I believe causing him breathing difficulties and heart dis arrhythmia. He will discontinue this drug. I hope we get him back on track and wish I knew how to get it out of his system faster.
